Hands Care

Age is quickly defied on hands. Unlike other parts of the body like the face, hands age very quickly.

Our hands do a lot for us. They allow us to touch, to feel, to grasp, to hold, to manipulate, and ultimately they help us to express ourselves. Even as we talk our hands assist us in conveying our message more clearly from the way we move them as we speak.

Our hands are one of the first things we notice when we meet someone.

A regular manicure will keep your nails tidy and hands clean. The importance of manicures is not only about how lovely your hands and nails will look, but also the purpose associated with it. Nails are manicured to prevent them from chipping and cracking. While cuticles are cared for with creams and oils to keep them soft and healthy.

Manicure:

A basic beauty treatment that nurtures the nail bed as well as the cuticles around.

Spa Manicure:

manicure care treatment that is extended to the skin of the hand with a view to its deep hydration and regeneration. It noticeably softens the skin and gives it a unique smoothness.

Gel Polish Manicure (also known as Shellac):

It is a nail varnish hardened with UV light. An absolute novelty in the cosmetics market. Their use eliminates the problem of unaesthetic chipping paint on the nails of hands and feet. Ensure smooth and flawless effect, lasting for 2-3 weeks.

Japanese Manicure:

P.Shine a method that strengthens our natural nails giving them a gloss pink pearl. This unique manicure gives the nails with sparkle, and gives them the natural ingredients (including vitamins A and E), keratin, bee pollen and silica from the Sea of Japan. P.Shine the recommended method for brittle nails, brittle and splitting. Many people have trouble keeping their nails healthy – they have this trouble with both women and men. Japanese manicure treatment is suitable for both sexes, because its effects are not that visible to the layman.

IBX system:

Penetrating toughening agent that fuses together the nail’s top layers to improve nail plate integrity under any Gel Polish Coating. Also used to keep your natural nails strong so that they grow long!
Use to toughen and grow natural nails, or to insure nail plate integrity under nail enhancements.

Paraffin on hands:

The used of the paraffin in cosmetic treatments are aimed at overall improvement in skin texture and appearance. I propose the use of paraffin for hand skin care treatments. I recommend it primarily in winter, when our skin have special problems of maintaining adequate hydration and for people with eczema or dry, rough palm skin.
A paraffin hand spa uses heated paraffin wax to sooth muscles and smooth the skin. These warm wax soaks can relieve dryness from repeated hand washing, washing clothes or dishes by hand, or from cold dry weather. Afterward, skin is healthier and softer. Skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and patches of itchy and dry skin can see hydrating benefits after a treatment.

Treatment usually takes about 30 minutes and new skin is revealed as you peel away the wax. The skins colour can also improve to a healthier, more youthful tone. A paraffin spa can warm up cold hands in the winter and leave them hydrated after just one use.

Gel nail treatment:

It is a special mixture that is applied either on top of an artificial nail extension, or directly onto the natural nail bed to strengthen the nail and promote natural growth.

The gel is ‘curing’ or ‘sealing’ with a UV light and the finished result is hard but still flexible with a natural looking glossy finish which is both instantly dry and chip resistant.
Whilst gel can be applied on top of an artificial extension to add length, they are particularly good for individuals who have very short, weak or bitten nails because they allow the nail to strengthen and grow below the layer of gel.

    Pros of gel nails
  • Gel does not cause damage to the natural nail and can be used to strengthen, protect and promote growth in the natural nail.
  • Gel is odourless unlike some acrylic or liquid powder nail systems. Gel is also more flexible.
  • Gel is considered to be a safer and more environmentally friendly option to acrylics.
    Cons of gel nails
  • Some individuals may find that their gel nails are less durable than acrylics and therefore do not last as long.
  • Most gel nail variations must be cured using a UV light meaning that they are difficult to fix at home.
  • Some gel nails will need to be filed off as opposed to being soaked off, which can be time consuming.
    Gel nails removal

Gel nails should always be removed by a nail technician (preferably who applied your gels in the first place), and under no circumstances should you attempt to remove your gels at home. There are various different gel systems in use today, some of which need to be buffed off and others that must be soaked off.
As a client, you can’t be sure what gel removal system is appropriate for your nails and what will leave them in good condition – which is why this step should be left to the professional.
